Archived: Area Program Helps Encourage St. Cloud Youth To Think About Attending College
St Cloud State University is partnering with the St. Cloud School District and Big Brother Big Sisters of Central Minnesota to help expose youth to college life and encourage them to think about their education beyond high school.
Mentors will engage students during one-hour meetings while bowling in the Atwood Center Underground, checking out the Recreation Center and Climbing Wall, and touring the SCSU campus.
This program is aimed at helping low income families, people of color and nontraditional college students.
Transportation for the entire year is being donated by the Sprainer Bus Services.
This program is set to begin in September.
