Archived: Assistant Stearns County Attorney Will Be Recognized For Prosecuting Impared Drivers At Twins Game

A Stearns County employee will be recognized next month for his work of prosecuting impaired drivers.

Assistant Attorney Kevin Voss is now seen as a DWI Enforcer All Star, a title only a couple prosecutors in the state earn each year. He has worked in the attorney’s office for 10 years.

Stearns County says Voss is also being recognized for his work in the area of enforcing an electronic search warrant process. This allows officers to send search warrants to a judge by email.

Statistics show Stearns County ranks 6th in drunken driving related deaths and injuries. On the other hand, it ranks in the top ten for DWI arrests. Nearly 70 DWI’s are issued every day in the state, and about one in seven drivers have at least one DWI on their record.

This year’s enforcer all-stars will be honored by the Department of Public Safety at the Twins-Atlanta game on July 27.
