The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office responded to a turkey barn fire Thursday morning at 31247 Circle 2 in St. Joseph.

Sheriff John Sanner says deputies received a call about the blaze from a local Holiday gas station around 6 a.m.

The St. Joseph Fire and Police Departments helped Stearns County Deputies extinguish the blaze.

Sanner adds deputies found the barn was empty at the time of the fire so no livestock was harmed. The cause of the outbreak of the fire has not yet been determined.

The barn is owned by 58-year-old Pete Rothfork of Grey Eagle.
