The Minnesota State Fair and the Minnesota Farm Bureau have released the list of the Century Farms of 2014.  

215 Minnesota farms have been selected this year including four farms in Benton County. They include three farms from the Foley area, Hansmeier Farms, Kroska Dairy and Moulzolf Pine Grove Dairy Farm, and one from the Rice area Wrucks Rocky Acres.

The Hoppe-Holdvogt Family farm from the Freeport area was the only Stearns County farm selected.

To become a Century Farm, it must be owned by the family for at least 100 years and have 50 acres or more.

Century Farms families are given a commemorative sign as well as a certificate signed by the State Fair and Minnesota Farm Bureau presidents and Governor Mark Dayton.
