Authorities are looking into reports of several related incidents of theft of gas and property in Benton County.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office was called to Little Rock Lake by the DNR boat landing last Wednesday. Three trucks had been drilled into and the gas inside their tanks had been stolen. Another car at the landing was broken into and a wallet and speaker were stolen.

This is not even the most recent incident of gas being drilled out of cars. The day after the three trucks were robbed, another car was emptied of gas. Before that, on May 12, a car had its gas stolen out of the parking lot of Rumor’s Bar and Grill in Rice.
