A 35-year-old man died in a three-car collision in Benton County Monday afternoon.

Benton County Sheriff Troy Heck says deputies responded to an accident on Benton County Road 5 east of County Road 6 at about 5:20 p.m. The investigation shows 17-year-old Tessa Fussy of Oak Park was driving westbound on County Road 5 when she stopped for traffic waiting to make a left hand turn into a driveway.

Another car driven by Brandon Bellamy from Blaine collided with the back of her car. Bellamy swerved into the eastbound lane and hit head-on with another car driven by 52-year-old Joan Novak of Foley. Bellamy died at the scene due to serious injuries. Novak and her 11-year-old passenger were taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Fussy was treated for minor injuries at the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
