The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the body of the man who was found floating in the water in the Quarry Park Nature Preserve Sunday morning.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says the body is that of 30-year-old Philip Royal Miller of St. Cloud who had been missing since August 6th. Authorities and Miller’s family believe he committed suicide. His cause of death was listed as fresh water drowning.

The family reported he suffered from severe depression.  Quarry 8 at the nature preserve had been partially drained in August and divers attempted to locate Miller at that time.
