The Stearns County highway department announced they’re closing the bridge on County Highway 17 over Spunk creek Tuesday morning in order to build a new one. The bridge is located northwest of St. Stephen.

They are estimating construction will take about two months, but in the meantime a detour will direct drivers to take County Road 118 to County Road 131 then onto County Highway 3.
