A building in Paynesville was burned in a fire Friday night.

Stearns Country Sheriff John Sanner says deputies received calls about the fire on King Bee Drive around 11 p.m. The building that was being remodeled by 49-year-old Jeff Evans.

No one was inside the building at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The deputies’ investigation determined a heater was being used to treat cement and is believed to have started the fire. The building, a loader and some other tools were lost in the fire.

Paynesville Fire Department assisted the sheriff’s office at the scene.
