The Camp Ripley Fire Department and Range Control Office have announced that they will conduct controlled burns from January 20th until March 15th 2016.

The burns will be throughout the day and night in order to reduce brush piles in the training area. During this time period surrounding areas can expect to see and smell smoke. Burn piles are controlled and are within safety regulations due to the amount of snow that is on the ground. The team conducting the controlled burn will be maintaining control of smoke by paying attention to wind direction and speed.
