Archived: Car Crash Sent A St. Cloud Man To Hospital

A St. Cloud man was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital after a car crash on the south side Monday afternoon.

St. Cloud Police Lieutenant Jeff Oxton says officers responded to a car crash at 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of 33rd Avenue South and 2nd Street South. Oxton says the investigation shows 54-year-old Lori Ann Schei of St. Cloud was driving south bound in the 100 block of 33rd Avenue South. Schei then failed to stop at the red light at 2nd Street South and collided with another vehicle driven by 22-year-old Terah Nicole Hollen of Sauk Rapids. Hollen was traveling west bound in the 3200 block of 2nd Street South and going through the intersection on a green light.

As a result, both of the drivers received non-life threatening injuries. Schei was cited for failing to stop and taken to the hospital.
