Slippery and icy roads near Rockville Thursday morning sent a driver into the ditch.

Stearns County Sheriff Don Gudmundson says just after 6 a.m. 18-year-old Morgan Hemmesch of Richmond was driving on County Road 8 near a curve when she lost control and went into the ditch. Her car then went through several trees before stopping. The Rockville Fire Department was able to get Hemmesch out of the car.

Hemmesch was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for her injuries which are believed to be non-life threatening.
