Archived: Central Minnesota Task Force Finds Nearly $25,000 In Pills In South St. Cloud
On Tuesday Jan. 17, the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force carried out a search warrant in the south side neighborhood after receiving tips that controlled substances were being sold from a home at 1202 6th Ave. S. in St Cloud.
Task Force Commander Steve Soyka says they located methamphetamine, heroin and over 1,000 pills that are suspected to contain ecstasy. The pills have an estimated street value of $25,000. Officers located two stolen motor scooters along with a stolen motorcycle.
Dylan Michael Kelley, 25, of St. Cloud, is a suspect in custody. He is facing charges of 2nd degree possession, 2nd degree possession with intent to distribute, and 3 counts of possession of stolen property. The charges also have a chance to be intensified because Kelley’s home is close to the Boys and Girls Club.
The Central Minnesota Violent Offenders Task Force received help from the St. Cloud Police Department Community Outpost. The task force is made up of officers from St. Cloud, Little Falls and Sauk Rapids, and deputies from Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Morrison and Todd County Sheriff Offices.
