Singer and songwriter Chastity Brown will visit St. Cloud State University Wednesday to talk about her work as a social activist and how music can support social change.

The Women’s Center says Brown’s music covers topics like personal identifies and the feeling of belonging. Brown is a contributor to Think Out Loud, a Twin Cities effort to end homelessness through music. She has toured the United States and internationally and has been featured on NPR, CMT, and the London Times.

Brown will perform in the Atwood Memorial Center at from 12 – 1 p.m. as a part of the Women on Wednesday Speaker Series.
