A new dining area has been revealed at St. Cloud State University equipped with a Chick-fil-A, Erbert and Gerbert’s, Coffee and Bagels, and Outtakes Market Express.

The renovations and funding are part of SCSU’s contract with a new dining service provider, Chartwells, which was effective July 1. Until then, two food trucks will continue to be parked in the Atwood Mall. The Wandering Mug, which serves coffee and pastries, and the Axle Grill, serving burgers and other lunch food, won’t drive away until Friday, Sept. 30.

The new food spots will be ready to serve students Monday on the main level of the Atwood Memorial Center. 

Construction is also being done to Atwood’s lower level, which will bring The Den by Denny’s. It’s scheduled to open Oct. 17.

Chartwells also caters to Garvey Commons.

Previously, food services at SCSU were offered by Sodexo.
