A Clear Lake man was taken to the hospital after a rollover accident in St. Augusta Thursday night.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says deputies responded to a report of an accident along County Road 44 and about half mile east of County Road 7 at 11:40 p.m. Deputies learned 48-year-old James Allan Gall was driving eastbound when he went straight off a sharp curve and hit a field approach and several trees.

The St. Augusta Fire and Rescue Department helped Gall to remove him from his vehicle. He was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment. Alcohol is believed to a factor in the accident.

No other injuries were reported. The accident is under active investigation.
