A house caught fire after lightning struck near a gas line Saturday evening.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says deputies were called the fire, just after 5 p.m. in Wakefield Township, south of Cold Spring. Fifty-eight year old David Mark Dold reported the house was struck by lightning near the gas line. The Cold Spring Fire Department arrived on the scene and put the fire out.

The fire caused minor damage to the attached garage and the gas main was also damaged. Everyone in the home got out safely, and no injuries were reported.
