Construction on 3rd Street North has begun in the St. Cloud area Monday.

The City Engineer’s office says 3rd Street North between 25th Avenue North and Cooper Avenue North will be closed to traffic due to utility and road construction work in the area. The closure should end around mid-August 2014.

Detours will be posted.

The city also reminds drivers that 1st Street North at the intersection of Cooper Avenue North will be congested due to utility and road construction work in the area. The construction should last around one week.

However, Cooper Avenue North will stay open during this closure.
