County Road 18 was closed for four hours Thursday afternoon after a tractor trailer swerved off the road.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says deputies responded to an accident three miles south of Brooten. 22-year-old Steven Ramirez of Belgrade was hauling sweet corn in his trailer on northbound County Road 18. Ramirez ran off the road into the east ditch. He came to a stop in a swamp.

Half of the sweet corn was lost. No injuries were reported and the truck received minimal damage. County Road 18 was reopened after four hours.
