The College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University’s music departments are presenting their annual Opera Workshop this weekend.

Directors Dr. Carolyn Finley and Tom Speckhard say this is a great opportunity for students to get an in-depth study, practice and presentation of classical and contemporary operas. This year’s work shop includes excerpts of “the Telephone,” “A Game of Chance” and “Princess Ida.”

There will be four performances this weekend at the Stephen B. Humphrey Theatre on the campus of Saint John’s University. Doors open at 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
