A professor from the College of St. Benedict and St. Johns University has announced his intention to run for State Representative from District 14A.

 

Aric Putnam, a Communications professor at CSB/SJU, says, “We need independent legislators who listen to and communicate with the whole community.”

 

A kick-off event in support of Putnam is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Beaver Island Brewing Company in St. Cloud.

 

Putnam seeks endorsement of the DFL. District 14A covers the cities of Waite Park, St. Augusta, and the south and northwestern portions of St. Cloud.
