An award-winning, election story documentary will have its first showing at the 2016 St. Cloud Film Fest this weekend.

The Film Fest says the documentary How Love Won: The Fight For Marriage Equality was directed by Michael McIntee, who used to live in St. Cloud. The film highlights Minnesota LGBT activists who protested for marriage equality.

The film will be shown locally for the first time at the Pioneer Place on Fifth in Downtown St. Cloud. It will begin Sunday at 4 p.m.
