Archived: Dogs Will Visit SCSU To Help Students De-Stress

Final exams are next week for Husky students, and to ease the stress from studying, dogs will be visiting campus this week.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) says the dog de-stress event is open to students, faculty and staff.

In partnership with Student Health Services and Healthy Huskies, CAPS welcomes dogs that are regularly used in health care settings. The dogs visiting campus are highly trained, certified, bathed and groomed.

All dogs will be watched by their owners and located on the north side of the Atwood Memorial Center. For anyone wanting to avoid the pets, they are encouraged to use the hallway on the south side of the building.

De-stressing will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.
