Archived: Drivers Will Experience Delays Along I-94 Between Rogers And St. Michael

Traffic is slowing down along Interstate 94 between Highway 241 in St. Michael and Highway 101 in Rogers starting Monday.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says both directions of I-94 will be reduced to one lane driving during non-rush hours. This is so crews can work in preparation for the Corridors of Commerce project that is set to be completed in 2015.

The project is taking place to create a more efficient transportation system that will add more lanes going both directions on I-94. Workers will also extend turn lanes, construct a noise barrier, and improve the bridges on the Crow River as part of the job.

MNDot adds that current construction is happening during the daytime hours, Mondays through Fridays, until August 11.
