ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Early voting for the November 3 General Election started Sept. 18 for midterms.

In local races, St. Cloud City Council has all four wards up for election. In Wards 1 and 2, candidates competed in the primary election for spots on the ballot.

In Ward 1, Charlie Hobbs and Dave Masters will have their names on the ballot, and candidates Joe Baratta and Craig Heurung will take the ballot for Ward 4.

Karen Larson is going unopposed for the Ward 2 seat. Meanwhile Ward 3 has two candidates in the race including Luke Christian and Hudda Ibrahim.

Other local races include MN House 14A and 14B, as well as Senate District 14.

Coming up on October 7, Senate District 14 Candidates Republican Bernie Perryman and DFL Aric Putnam will participate in a live debate.

Unlike the first two debates KVSC and St. Cloud LIVE hosted this election cycle, this debate will have a live in-person audience in Ritsche auditorium.

This event will be free and open to the public. Those who can’t attend in person, can also watch or listen live on KVSC.org or UTVS.com/watchlive.

Community members can submit questions ahead of the debate on kvsc.org or stcloudlive.com by visiting the google form linked here.

Attendees will also be able to submit questions during the debate by scanning a QR code that will be available during the event.
