St. Cloud State University will host a conference on the economics of property value Friday afternoon.

Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Economics Professor Michael Sale will give a lecture about applied microeconomics for property rate purposes. His economic research specializes in placing value on municipal property.

Sale was chosen as the 2013 emerging researcher of the year. This title is given to a faculty member within Business and Economic Sciences at the South African university.

The speech will take place in Stewart Hall, room 322 from 2-3 p.m. on Friday.
