The 2014 midterm elections proved anything but easy for local candidates. Rounding out the local elections, Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner will be serving the area for a fourth term. He had defeated challenger Mark Bromenschenkel by a 10 percentage points. And finally, incumbent county attorney Janelle Kendall will be serving constituents in Stearns County for yet another term. Kendall was voted in election night to her fourth term. She beat challenger Mark Hansen, securing nearly 62 percent of the vote.
