The Central MN Sexual Assault Center is hosting  a “Walk Together, Unite Against Sex Trafficking” in partnership with the Shear Dynamics Salon.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Central MN Sexual Assault Center’s (CMSAC) services to survivors of sex trafficking/exploitation and other forms of sexual violence, including child sexual abuse. CMSAC services are greatly enhanced by the support communities they serve.

St. Cloud has been identified by survivors and local law enforcement as a “training hub” for prostitution in the State of Minnesota. They serve an average of 70-100 victims of commercial sexual exploitation/trafficking each year. Through education, CMSAC also seeks to impact change in society’s attitudes and institutions that will reduce and ultimately eradicate the incidence of sexual violence.

Supporting the walk is a way to create a voice for those who do not have a voice in our community.  The event is taking place on Saturday, September 25 starting at 9 a.m.
