Granite City Folk Society and First Presbyterian Church present Good Morning Bedlam in a free, outdoor concert. Bring a lawn chair and a friend. The show will move indoors should the weather turn on us. Good Morning Bedlam is Isaak Gill Elker (guitar), Victoria Elker (bass), Katherine Seeger (violin), and Dawson J. Redenius (trumpet, keys). The quartet features tight multipart vocal harmonies and a stylistic range that runs from folkie-string-band to danceable pop, with an occasional detour into country. The band has toured the festival circuit extensively and in 2019 took first place at the John Hartford Memorial Festival Band Competition. “We want to surprise our audience from song to song,” says Isaak Elker, and a sampling of their videos will show how surprising the band can be.
