A new exhibit “Breaking Point” by Betsy Alwin is open in the Kiehle Gallery on the St. Cloud State University campus.

The exhibit runs through Dec. 8 and features a tactile-evoking exhibition that is a metaphor through materiality. Alwin explores the stability of structural forms and touches on the human condition through her sculptures and drawings. Rebar, wood and plaster combine to hint at the familiar and question how materials carry meaning.

Alwin is a visual artist and educator and is currently teaches at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

The Kiehle Gallery is located in the Kiehle Visual Arts Center on campus. The gallery hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
