The Paynesville Historical Society is welcoming Orphan Train Author Renée Wendinger.

The presentation “They Called Them Orphan Trains” features Wendinger, an author and speaker on the subject of the orphan trains. Inspired by her mother, one of the children of the orphan trains to reveal the factual story of orphaned children sent west on the infamous orphan trains; she offers a historical PowerPoint symposium to educators and schools, community and civic organizations, and libraries and historical centers.

Wendinger will be speaking at the Paynesville Historical Society on Thursday, October 27th at 7 p.m. Museum doors open at 6 p.m.
