The Lion Man Literacy Project Comic Book Exhibit

The Stearns History Museum is featuring a new exhibit called ” The Lion Literacy Project.
The exhibit features superhero comic book art created by young people from the community. The project highlights the visions and imaginations of Black youth solving real-world problems through the actions of superheroes. The anthology presents empowering narratives with original work created by youth from Too Much Talent, the Boys and Girls Club of Central Minnesota and South Junior High School’s CRUSH Academy.
The Lion Man Project exhibit will be open August 25th through September. The exhibit also features a traveling program Beyond the Black Panther: Visions of Afrofuturism in American Comics from Michigan State University.
