Ukrainian Speaker on War’s Impact on Families and Kids

The St. Cloud Morning Optimists are presenting speaker about the war in Ukraine and how it has impacted children and families.

Do you want to know the real situation of war-torn Ukraine? How is the Russian invasion affecting Ukrainian families and children? Founder of the Institute of Cultural Affairs in Ukraine Irina Fursman will speak about her experiences in Russia, Crimea, and in the Ukraine. She moved to America in 2002, she and her husband, Richard Fursman, have initiated civic leadership engagement and education programs in Ukraine and across the US.

She will be accompanied by 18 Ukrainian students from her “Global Synergy Group,” who are in in the US as part of the Ukraine—Minnesota Community exchange program.

For those who can extend their time, Irina and the students will stay to mingle and answer any questions.

Pre-registration is preferred but not mandatory. The seminar is Wednesday, September 7th from Noon to 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Churc on County Road 137 in St. Cloud
