The Women on Wednesday series has returned to St. Cloud State University.

On Wednesday, October 27th the presentation is Trans in 2021.

The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated trans people’s already disproportionate risks for harassment, violence, unemployment, rejection by family and communities, discrimination, poverty and homelessness. From the interpersonal to systemic levels, transphobia presents real and significant barriers to people exercising their basic civil liberties. And while there’s so much work to do, there’s also been so much progress by and in support of trans people living full, authentic lives. In this session, our panel explores the complex realities of being a trans person in 2021. The presentation is co-sponsored by the LGBT Resource Center in commemoration of national Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender History Month.

Women on Wednesday is in person and on Zoom on Wednesday, October 27th starting at noon in the Atwood Memorial Center Theatre.
