One man is dead after he rear ended a semi-truck on I-94 Monday.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 58-year-old Frederick Meyer of Clearwater was headed east on I-94 behind a semi-truck driven by 55-year-old Kelvin Bartlett. The accident happened about a mile west of Stearns County Road 75.

Bartlett had to stop on the interstate due to an accident up ahead. Meyer failed to stop in time rear-ending the semi.

He was killed in the crash.
