A failure to yield caused fatal car accident near Rockville on Friday.

Police Sergeant Jesse Grabow says that 38-year-old Robert Peterson of Clear Lake was headed north on County Road 8 when he failed to stop at the intersection of Highway 23, and was hit by an SUV driven by 30-year-old Abdikahin Abdi of St. Cloud last Friday. 

Peterson was pronounced dead. Abdi and the passenger of Peterson’s car were taken for their injuries.
