Archived: Federal Officials Reviewing SCSU’s Handling Of A Sexual Assault Complaint
Investigators with the Federal Office of Civil Rights are visiting St. Cloud State University to review the school’s handling of a sexual assault complaint.
The OCR says they will be meeting with various groups on campus and those involved with the handling of the sexual assault allegation that stems from a case filed last year.
SCSU is one of more than 150 higher education institutions currently under review by the OCR. They plan to review the case as well as the university’s policies and procedures for responding to student allegations of sexual misconduct.
While on campus the OCR will hold open office hours today and Thursday for individual students or staff who would like to discuss the school’s handling of the assault allegations and any other concerns.
