St. Cloud drivers should be aware of a two-day long road closure on the north side of the city starting Monday.

The City Engineer’s Office says a section of the eastbound lane on 1st Street North will be closed for a downtown event. The road will be blocked off between 6th Avenue North and the Mississippi River.

The closure is to accommodate traffic for the 32nd Minnesota Rural Water conference at the River’s Edge Convention Center.

The road closed at 8 a.m. Monday and will remain closed till 5 p.m. It will also close from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday.
