This weekend at the River’s Edge Convention Center hundreds of volunteers will be packaging food for the 3rd annual “We Are Thankful” event.

Kids Fighting Hunger is a volunteer-driven organization devoted to humanitarian relief efforts worldwide. This year, they’re teaming up with Children of the Nations to distribute food to Sierra Leone.

The food will be delivered to areas of the country devastated by the Ebola outbreak and recent flooding.

Kids Fighting Hunger has a goal to raise $22,000 and gather 600 volunteers to help with packaging on Saturday. Donations are accepted and volunteers are encouraged to register ahead of time.

Volunteers will work in three shifts from 9-11 a.m., 11-1 p.m. and 1-3 p.m. “We Are Thankful” food packaging will take place Saturday at the River’s Edge Convention Center in Downtown St. Cloud.
