Four people were hospitalized after a head-on collision in Benton County Monday afternoon.

Benton County Sheriff Troy Heck says deputies responded to an accident near the intersection of County Road 33 and 5th Avenue North East at 6:30 p.m. They say 55-year-old Steven Williams from St. Cloud was driving his pickup west on the county road when he approached a vehicle pulling a trailer.

While Williams tried to pass the vehicle, he struck another pickup head-on driven by 30-year-old Justin Packard from Sauk Rapids. Both of the vehicles sustained severe damage.

Williams and his two passengers as well as Packard were taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
