Archived: Furniture And Appliances Donated To Habitat For Humainty ReStore Will Help Local Veterans
Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity ReStore has teamed up with a local organization to serve veterans in need of household items.
Retail Manager Mark Phillips says the store will accept donations of furniture, appliances and other home items to put on display to the general public. Qualifying veterans will receive in-store vouchers to make purchases.
The partnership is with St. Cloud Area Disabled American Veterans (DAV), which supports men and women who served in our nation’s defense.
Phillips calls the partnership a win for everyone. He says, “The ReStore gets more donations of items, the DAV no longer has to store the donations in a warehouse, and most importantly we both get to serve our veterans…”
The ReStore is located at 2801 West Saint Germain Street across from Affinity Plus Credit Union. Donations can be dropped off at the location or arranged to be picked up.
