A home was severely damaged in a fire north of Richmond Friday evening.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says deputies received a report of a fire along Country Road 9 in Munson Township. The homeowner, Josh Brown, found his building filled with smoke when he arrived home Friday.

The Richmond and Chain of Lakes Fire Departments put out the fire. The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of fire. No injuries were reported.
