The Minnesota Department of Transportation is letting motorists traveling westbound on Interstate 94 near Hasty and Clearwater Wednesday may encounter delays.

MN-DOT says you may encounter slow or stopped traffic as the road is reduced to a single lane starting at 8 a.m. All westbound lanes will re-open by 3 p.m.

Crews will being doing prep work for a project that will install new steel dowel bars along several test segments of the interstate. MN-DOT says the 44-year-old dowel bars are failing and crews will return later this month to install new steel dowel bars in these test segments.
