Drivers will soon be facing delays as the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 between County Road 18 and Highway 25 near Monticello are shifted to the eastbound side of the road on Wednesday.

Both directions of the interstate will have temporary lanes with a reduced speed limit of 55 miles per hour.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says in addition, the ramp from westbound I-94 to Highway 25 near Monticello will also close Wednesday. Drivers will be re-directed to proceed at the County Road 18 exit.

MnDOT says the roadway is scheduled to be finished by October 15. The Highway 25 ramp exit is set to re-open in late July.
