Portions of the newly restored Lake Wobegon Trail have reopened.

During early May the trail went through a major construction project. Crews removed deteriorating asphalt, laid new asphalt, leveled the gravel shoulders and weeded out different areas.The trail is now open between Albany and Freeport.

Sections of the trail between Albany and the Morrison County Line remain closed. The entire project is expected to be completed by Thursday, June 11.
