A St. Cloud man was airlifted to the hospital after being shot several times in Avon Sunday night.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says deputies received a report of gunshots being fired at 8:10 p.m. in a residence in Avon Township.

Their investigation shows a 43-year-old man was struck with several bullets. The Life Link helicopter took the victim to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.

The victim is in stable condition. There was also another 38-year-old man in the residence at the time of shooting.

No other injuries were reported. The sheriff’s office is actively investigating the incident.
