Archived: Man Arrested in Zimmerman, Facing Assault Charges, After Hiding in Home with Weapon
A man in Zimmerman was arrested Thursday morning after an alleged domestic assault.
Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says at around 7:30 a.m. officers went to 865 East Boulevard after a call that 19-year-old Seth Allen Steadman had assaulted a friend. Steadman didn’t answer authorities but instead locked himself inside, and officers were informed he may have a sawed-off shotgun.
Steadman is a convicted felon who can’t possess guns or ammo. Authorities made their way in and found Steadman in a laundry closet, along the shotgun and drug paraphernalia in the home.
Steadman was arrested and taken to the Sherburne County jail facing charges of felon in possession of a firearm, domestic assault and drug possession.
