Archived: Man Reportedly Shows Up Intoxicated For Stearns County Court Appearance

The Stearns County sheriff says a man came to his court appearance obviously intoxicated, leading to more charges being placed against him.

Twenty-six-year-old Christopher Myrhe, who does not have a permanent address, appeared to be drunk when he went to his court appearance Monday afternoon. The court ordered him to be tested for intoxication but Myrhe refused. He then became hostile and resisted arrest. Deputies eventually had to taze him before they brought him to the Stearns County Jail.

Authorities searched Myrhe and found prescriptions that did not belong to him. He is now charged with 5th degree controlled substance, disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process charges along with his original 4th degree assault charge.
