Archived: Metro Bus Will Update Routes Sunday After Receiving Customer Feedback
Customer reviews have sparked changes to the Metro Bus routes around St. Cloud and surrounding areas beginning Sunday, Oct. 30.
Metro Bus says the tweaks will improve bus timing and access to St. Cloud State University and Cash Wise in Waite Park.
Route changes are listed below:
• A stop along Route 5 will be moved from the SCSU Miller Center across the street to 5th Ave. S./7th St. S. to improve timing.
• Route 5 will also allow for easier access to Cash Wise by using Waite Ave. and 2nd St. S. after leaving Crossroads Center.
• Route 11 will be adjusted to better help students living on Washington Memorial Dr. get to SCSU. The bus will stay on Roosevelt Rd. and turn left onto Washington to stop at Garden Square Apartments before heading to SCSU and the Transit Center.
• Route 12 will offer more frequent morning service to SCSU. Two additional runs will begin at the Clearwater Rd./14th St. S. stop and end at the Miller Center. They will operate between 9:11-10:50 a.m. However, the extra weekday morning route will only run when classes are in session during fall and spring semesters.
Metro Bus runs 7 days a week through St. Cloud, Sartell, Sauk Rapids and Waite Park.
