The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry increased minimum wage for the fiscal year of 2016.

People who work for businesses with an annual income of more than $500,000 now receive $9 per hour. People who work for enterprises with an annual income of less than $500,000 will be paid $7.25 an hour. Anyone working on a J-1 visa, such as exchange visitors, earn $7.50 per hour.
